Ruby Castellanos
Audio Engineer

Ruby's musical journey began at the young age of 8 years old when she was gifted her first harmonica and quickly learned how to read music and perform the harmonica. Eventually, she joined the orchestra as a Bassist and then a local Mariachi group where she mastered the Vihuela (5-string guitar). Her passion for music led her to attend Full Sail University where she received a Bachelor of Science with a focus in Recording Arts. She has had the pleasure of working with a variety of artists, game companies, and filmmakers throughout her career. She's a self-starter who's passionate about audio.

Here it is! I am proud to present "Life on Mars". So much heart went into this project. I am so grateful and honored to be apart of such a wonderful team of humans. When Ryan Keller asked me to record my own rendition of David Bowie's Life on Mars for his short film, I will admit, it was a bit daunting at first. My first recorded cover, and of someone of such importance in music history. On top of that, I knew I was going to have to live up to Ryan's team's video skills as well. I am so glad he trusted me to do this because I had a wonderful time stepping out of my comfort zone for a bit, and challenging myself musically to put my own spin on someone else's song. I can't take all the credit though, Ruby Castellanos is a wizard in the recording studio and was an amazing producer for this track. She's also proved to be one of the most patient producers to work with as I admit, I am quite picky at times... :P Special thank you to Halo Darkspyre, and Kyno Allure for your master video, and lighting skills. To Masami Koshikawa, and Luke Braceland, your beautiful performance talents never fail to amaze me. I am so grateful to have a dream team filled with my best friends. Feel free to share.
